The first and largest public library in Beirut. As well as Lebanon's three favourite languages, the library stocks books in Armenian, German, Tamil and Ethiopian. Come with a passport photo, a copy of your identity card and LL10,000 and receive a membership good for a lifetime of borrowing books. Alternatively you can stop by and read at leisure.
