Fete de la Musique

Also known as World Music Day, whether you’re a music nerd or not this is the one and only way to celebrate the summer solstice in Beirut. For one night only (June 21), pavements, squares, cafés and other unexpected corners of the city play host to a variety of acts, from the unknown to the bring-your-autograph-book. Encouraging people to see great free music and break down the barriers between the streets and the performers, it’s a democratising evening of musical discovery.
