Widely credited as the first lady of Minimal, Magda comes to Beirut for one night of minimal tech heaven. Born in Zywiec, Poland, she easily slipped into the Berlin scene, where she’s now based on Richie Hawtin’s legendary Minus label. In '86 she moved with her family to Detroit – a city that has techno pumping through its veins – where she met Plastikman AKA Richie Hawtin and got the hunger for all things electronic from the Detroit underground.

She met Marc Houle at a gig she played as part of Hawtin’s ‘13 Below’ night, and they soon began working together. She’s openly embraced the new direction of electronic music, bringing with her a hefty collection of turntables, laptops, samplers and EFX units that now fill out her DJ booth.

Magda knows how to keep minimal interesting mixing in elements of Chicago jack and acid to her sets. Local DJ tag team Ronin & Nesta will provide the opening set and following Magda will be duo Gunther and Stamina. This will be one underground electronic journey you don't want to miss.
