Weekend shenanigans

Alright Beirut, you know the drill. We've picked the what's what of the weekend just for you. So grab some disco shoes or slip on those relaxing pants and enjoy.

The babes of RnB
Not one, but three gorgeous fellows will be rapping their pretty hearts out this weekend in Beirut. The rumours are true, it's the one and only Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah and Jeremih. RnB lovers and single ladies...go crazy. And for the true fans (or stalkers) among us, Derulo will be partying all night after the gig at one very hip outdoor club.

Peaceful Picnics for Parks
Bring your basket of goodies, friends and family to send a message to the powers that be that Horsh Beirut should be reopened to the public. Picnics are taking place all over the city in the name of communal shared spaces.

Contemporary Dance
What happens when a Danish dance company gets together with four brilliant dancers from Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon? Brilliance on stage, that's what. A semi-experimental study in movement and interaction, with music remixed by Zeid Hamdan.

Brazilian Party
Everyone knows Brazilian do it with style, right? Festa Junina is here to celebrate Saint John. Pretend you're in Rio with their traditional drinks, dancing and wild partying.

Cheery Cherries
Grab the kids and head out for a day in the orchards picking cherries. There's a whole swag of other kids activities too, including paintballing, facepainting and baking.

Ship in and ship out
Didn't get your party-fill on Saturday night? No worries because this boat will keep the party afloat long into Sunday. DJ Clint Maximus will be giving you what you need to hear for the eight-hour sea-bound jaunt, and there's a very large bar to quench any sailors thirst.

Open Air Cinema
The Roman Baths is the place to be for film buffs this weekend for the yesteryear-inspired Outbox International Film Festival. Bring your vino and play the critic while watching some of the best short films created by up and coming filmmakers from across the globe.

London Calling
End the weekend royally with the GREAT British Week. They're covering the city with many events.
