A city-size contest is hitting Beirut’s bars between Apr 8-May 8. SACEM (Society for the Author, Composer and Publisher of Music) is organising the competition to elect Beirut’s Best Musical Hangouts. The contest is split in to six categories including, Latin music, electro music, Arabic music, lounge music and a very special prize for the leading venue in the street-that-never-sleeps, Gemmayzeh. Music is at the forefront of the contest where the leading logic is that the perfect music generates the ideal ambience, bringing the best crowd equalling the best place to hang out.

The results will be announced on May 12, with the award ceremony being held on May 13.
