Where? Head down Nahr Street, Mar Mikhael and keep an eye to the right side of the street and you’ll see it, opposite a gas station. Why the name? The DJ exclusively mixes vinyl with no modern, tacky pioneer mixers. The flipside of a vinyl is known to hold the rarer tracks. Also, Mar Mkhael is the flipside of Gemmayzeh, innit? What’s it like? A smallish 70’s pub, with curved architecture, humble mood lighting, and couple of nice benches outside for a breath of fresh air. The drinks? A teeny bit on the weak side. They taste great, but we just aim to get tipsy a little quicker. Entertainment? Everything vinyl has to offer, from funk, soul and jazz to oldies and even contemporary beats. We just wish the sound system did justice to the excellent music. Who are the regulars? An older bunch of music enthusiasts who appreciate a fun crowd. (70526625)
