For two weeks Cinema Sofil will be paying tribute to the French filmmaker, Robert Bresson, a director and screenwriter known for his unique and innovative films. Directing only 13 films over a career spanning more than 40 years, Bresson is nevertheless considered by critics and film lovers alike to be one of the giants of world cinema. All the films at the festival will be projected from 35mm film (apart from François Weyergans' documentary).
