On the 20th of June, the legendary Hany Abu-Assad, 2006 Academy Award nominee Palestinian producer and filmmaker, was assigned as president of the Doha Tribeca Film Festival 2010 (DTFF) along with Lebanon’s own Hania Mroue (director of Beirut Cinema Days and founder of Metropolis) as part of the festival's programming team.

The second annual festival will feature a selection of films from the Middle East and abroad, and aims to promote the region’s burgeoning film industry and to educate a new generation of film enthusiasts.
