For those of you who aren’t so familiar with classical music, this Albanian opera soprano might be the most recognisable. Winner of 1988’s George Enescu Competition, she became a friendly face on the TV screen, with musical appearances on Luigi Cherubini's Opera Médée, Georges Bizet's opera ‘La Jolie Fille de Perth‘ and, perhaps as her most well-known act, as the voice behind the Diva Plavalaguna (the blue alien performer) in Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element. She will be supported by pianist Genc Tikici for a program of arias and songs from Eastern Europe and Viennese operettas.
