As with many Arabic singers, the singer and soprano Magida El Roumi started her career on the TV talent show Studio El Fan, in the early 70s. Since then, she’s experienced great success in the Middle East. El Roumi was one of the first to blend traditional tarab with western classical music, paving the way for numerous artists to follow in her footsteps.
