Hailing from the Montreal dance scene, where he has placed his fingers firmly in many a residency pie, Big Al returns to Beirut to bring to the (turn)table his signature sound, incorporating techno, afro-beat and funky house. He has a broad musical palette and an even broader tour history spanning much the world but primarily Europe, North America and the Middle East. Big Al finds himself in Beirut a lot – he celebrated his birthday in BO18 just last month on September 24 at the Ready Mix Sessions V6. Now, people have different views of their birthdays but Big Al’s favoured to spend the day of his birth playing a seven hour straight house set. How selfless.
