In her thought-provoking performance ‘160 feet under pure blue sea’, Lynn Kodeih juggles themes such as the face, obliteration and the hero/antihero symbolic image of the father, while exploring possible means of narration and testimony. Created as part of her Masters degree in theatre studies at Saint Joseph’s University, the performance will form part of the Beirut Art Center’s Exposure 2010 exhibition. It addresses the subject of remembrance, underlining the infinite possibilities of rewriting history through personal histories, with questions of time and the image featuring prominently.
The show will be on Oct 7 at the Beirut Art Center. For reservation call 01 397018, 70 262112
