Peter Mortimer has worked with 12 Palestinian youths from Shatila to bring his powerful play to life. A fable mixed with political allegory, ecological warnings and children’s adventure, it tells the tale of a king who loses everything when Mother Nature’s weather patterns change. The performance combines physical theatre, mime and dance choreographed by British choreographer Harriet Plewis, with live music performed by Ryan Siddall.
