Walking into Food 101 feels like entering a rustic kitchen located in the countryside. The menu, however, resembles a university exam, for as the name implies, the restaurant is a popular student haunt. Located outside the AUB, it’s no surprise that Food 101 draws a regular young crowd looking for affordable and quick food. We arrived early for lunch, when a queue was already snaking out the door and students were gleefully milling about inside. The restaurant boasts healthy options by placing baskets of fresh vegetables behind the chef, clearly in view of the seating floor as well as a non-smoking section inside. Choose from DIY pizza or pasta, both extremely fresh or tuck into the egg breakfast.
