A charming beige-and-white painted old house given new life by the people behind Gemmayzeh's cheerful and popular Aliacci, Fioré is a slightly more sophisticated operation. Open only for dinner during the week, it has a lovely Euro-Mediterranean menu served in an intimate, colourful L-shaped room whose walls are traced with delicate floral patterns. Exploring the menu, you might start with homemade ravioli with goat's cheese or seared foie gras with fig marmalade, then move on to endives with blue cheese, pomegranates, walnuts and honey dressing or tagliatelle with duck. Main fish and meat dishes might be grouped in crystal salt, rack of lamb or grilled calamari.
