The food is served by a cheerfully bandana-ed chef/proprietor, who welcomes you through the door. Lovingly prepared, fresh hollowed out baguettes, filled with 2arnabit, salad, tomatoes and dressing with fine slices of rosto beef with all the trimmings. A couple of hours after your sandwich settles, you will find yourself justifying another visit.

They offer the traditional favourites such as strawberry, and chocolate which has a rich flavour and creamy texture. The original flavours are an interesting addition – the Ferrero Rocher is exceptionally moreish. You have the option of sitting in the café or using the street stand if you are on the go. There is an infectious enthusiasm for ice-cream, the staff are quick to assist you with a recommendation which is always an indication that you are onto something good – and you are.
