Housed in the restaurant quarter of Monot, Al Falamanki has a traditionally decorous interior. The clientele is a mix of locals and expats. The food is honest and the menu offers a good assortment of all the Lebanese standards you would expect. Though you might enjoy better dishes elsewhere, there are few places that provide the ideal combination of a buzzing ambience and mezze. Its popularity – combined with closely packed tables and cosy couches – means it's packed on most nights, but also a must on any visitor's itinerary. In summer, meals are best enjoyed in the spacious narguileh garden when the buzz from backgammon and card players can be heard from every corner.
